Providers Funded by SF Community Behavioral Health Services

This four-course training series is designed to help San Francisco peer counselors integrate HIV prevention into drug treatment counseling. It starts by helping participants refine basic client-centered counseling skills and continues by leading participants through courses that define the relationship among HIV, substance use, and sexual behavior. The series includes demonstrations of how to discuss these topics in counseling sessions.

 
Basic CBHSSan Francisco
These trainings are geared to the range of providers who work in substance treatment settings and would like support and education in how to incorporate HIV risk reduction into their counseling sessions. The basic series includes four courses: HIV Basics & Beyond; Client Centered Counseling; Diversity in HIV Counseling; and Multiple Diagnosis. After completing the basic series, participants can take any or all of the four advanced trainings.
Advanced CBHSSan Francisco
